8.30 pm: Reading
Geschichte meines Lebens (Giacomo Casanova)
Prof Matthias Wagner K (Director of the Museum Angewandte Kunst) reads from Casanova’s memoirs. Giacomo Casanova worked as a librarian at Dux Castle (Duchcov) in Bohemia from September 1785. The reading will take place in the inner courtyard of the museum with light, wine and fire.

A furoshiki is a square cloth that is traditionally used in Japan to wrap or transport gifts or clothes. In the workshop, square pieces of fabric are printed with color and individually designed. The result is a unique furoshiki that is perfect as sustainable gift wrapping, an original accessory or a decorative element.

For children aged 7-12 with or without an accompanying adult.
Cost: 5 EUR per person, plus museum admission for adults.

Whether mobilé, dream catcher or nature collage – in this workshop we discover an interplay of art and nature. Delicate works of art are made from natural materials and set in motion by the wind. Those who wish can incorporate their own words and thoughts in the form of self-written haikus into their artwork.

Special icons from our collection from a theological, cultural studies and art historical perspective will be examined. Get closer to the stories, meanings and messages of icons in our time. The talks take place once a month on Wednesdays from 6.30 – 7.30 pm.
