A concept store in and around design and culinary delights

During the Advent season, the MARKT BESONDERES SCHENKEN will open in the foyer of the Museum Angewandte Kunst for the fifth time. This year, it will be dedicated to the culinary arts and unusual design.

In this year’s concept store around design and enjoyment and in the framework of the current exhibition HOUSE OF NORWAY, products of the highest handcrafted quality from small manufacturers and artisanal enterprises of the region encounter Scandinavian furniture and interior design. The market will offer a selection of artisanal preserves, coffee, honey, Norwegian reindeer and elk salami and aquavit, as well as leather bags, porcelain, hand-made wrapping paper, notebooks, bowls and products by famous Norwegian designers such as furniture, lamps, home accessories and silver jewelry.

On the Advent weekends, the restaurant Emma Metzler will offer coffee, cake, wine and Norwegian aquavit in the museum’s foyer from 12 to 4 pm.

The MARKT BESONDERES SCHENKEN can be visited from Saturday 30 November 2019 until Sunday 22 December 2019 between the following opening hours: Tuesdays to Sundays from 12 to 6 pm and Wednesdays from 12 to 8 pm.

On Sunday, December 15, the Museum Angewandte Kunst will be hosting a theme day in relation to the exhibition HOUSE OF NORWAY from 1 pm to 5 pm, an invitation to open workshops, family tours and short guided tours for children from the age of 6, families and adults. Without registration and included in the entrance fee. Children and adolescents up to 18 years free of charge.
